I have been waiting for so long to read this book. The Black Dagger Brotherhood is one of my favourite series but I had fallen a little behind because I hadn't been able to afford to buy the books as they were published. Finally, my local library got a copy of Lover at Last, so I actually got to read it and I can definitely say it was worth the wait. After several books that gave little bits of information on Quinn and Blay, it was nice to have a book that was centred around the two of them, especially with them being pretty badass characters. Before Lover At Last, it was Blay that you felt sorry for but this gave an insight into how life was for Quinn. The finishing line of the book made me smile like an idiot because it was just so perfect. I'd spent a long time wondering how their relationship would work, and it was summed up perfectly in just one line. The only down side to the book, if you can call it a down side, is that there is an increasing significance of the lessers and the shadows which I found myself wishing weren't there, but this was only because I wanted to read the parts with Blay and Quinn more than the parts with Trez and I-Am. I'm now very difinitely looking forward to reading The King.
