If you’re anything like me, with the turn of midnight and the bringing in of a whole new year, you’ll be wondering what the year ahead will bring. Forget New Year’s Resolutions (who actually sticks to them anyway?), I want to know what the New Year will actually be about. I want to know what I should look forward to. For A2’s, we obviously have the antagonising wait for our results in August, and then the giant leap many of us will e taking when we go to university. For the AS’s, you have the joy of entering your second year at college (we’ll say it’s evil but it’s worth it – really). Through all that pressure, we all need to remember to relax just a little bit. For some, that means partying, others hang out with friends, listen to music, drink tea. For me, relaxing means curling up with a good book. After an amazing year of new releases such as Veronica Roth’s Allegiant and Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Midnight, I’m hoping 2014 will match up to the high standards that have been set.
